💡 Behind the Scenes

The film is based on the true story of Stefania Podgórska (called Fusia in the film), who was recognized as Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem. Lead actress Kellie Martin spent time with the real Stefania before filming to understand her experiences. Interestingly, the production faced challenges recreating 1940s Poland in Canada, where it was filmed. The attic set was built with removable walls to accommodate camera equipment while maintaining authentic cramped dimensions.
